Description
PTA-170 Protection Tape is a powerful protective tape for all smooth surfaces. It tears easily width-wise, but not length-wise. The laminated top layer can withstand the effects of weather, temperature and extreme UV radiation for up to six months, and even then it can still be easily removed in one piece without leaving any traces. The tape is easy to use, and can be easily repositioned.

- Protecting window and door profiles during transport and after installation
- Transport protection for ano-look profiles
- Covering sensitive surfaces during grinding and sanding work
- Protecting body parts
- Temporary fixing or bundling of cables and pipes
- Covering for corrosion protection or sealing processes (underbody, ...)
- Tearable, clean-removal tape for assembly and maintenance work
- Shielding of sharp edges and corners.

- Adhesive: pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive.
- Carrier: LDPE/HDPE laminate.
- Colour: white.
- Thickness: 0.18 mm.
- Width: 50 mm.
- Peel strength: 3.2 N/cm.
- Tensile strength: 60 N/cm.
- Elongation at break: 15%.
- Application temperature(*): between +10°C and +30°C.
- Temperature resistance: from -40°C to +95°C.
- UV resistance: very high. No residue formation for up to 6 months of UV exposure.
- Water resistance: very high.
- Chemical resistance: very high (depending on the type of chemical).
- Shelf life: 42 months, in a clean and dry environment between +10°C and +40°C.
Instructions
- Apply to a clean and dry surface, clean if necessary with Safety Clean and/or Multifoam.
- Press firmly for maximum initial adhesion. Final adhesion is achieved after 24 hours (at 23°C).
- Always test compatibility on unknown or new substrates. Prolonged use on soft PVC can soften the adhesive layer. When removed, residues of the adhesive layer may remain. Remove this with Kleenspray-S or SLX-112 Solvex Cleaner.
