The importance of regular cleaning of exterior joinery
Windows, doors, patio covers, sun blinds, etc. are permanently exposed to varying weather conditions and environmental factors. Rain, UV radiation, air pollution, organic deposits and fine dust cause gradual surface degradation. Over time, this not only leads to a visually worn-out appearance, but also causes damage to coatings, loss of shine and a shorter overall service life.
A thorough (semi-)annual cleaning such as our Deep Clean process is essential to tackle this weathering, but regular, periodic cleaning is just as important for lasting results. This forms the basis for long-term protection and the preservation of the functional and aesthetic properties of the joinery.
Durable maintenance requires professional products
Novatio has developed two user-friendly products that are tailored to the periodic cleaning and protection of doors and windows: Shamp-Wax and Surface Renewer. They combine efficient performance with high-quality formulas and are suitable for use on aluminium, PVC, paintwork and powder coatings.

Never clean in direct sunlight or when the surface is warm.
Cleaning with Novacare Shamp-Wax
Shamp-Wax is a concentrated cleaning shampoo with a high content of carnauba wax. It safely removes surface dirt such as dust, atmospheric precipitation, insect marks and light organic dirt. At the same time, it applies a fine protective layer that temporarily protects the surface from new dirt and makes it water-repellent.
The wax layer also helps to reduce static attraction of dust and provides a subtle shine. This keeps the joinery cleaner for longer and makes the next cleaning easier.
Application
Apply generously to remove sand and loose dirt
Add 60 to 80 ml of Shamp-Wax to a bucket of lukewarm water
Rub the surface thoroughly, working from bottom to top
Leave to soak in for a few minutes
Rinse well with water
Rub the surface dry with a dry, lint-free microfibre cloth
Refresh and protect with Surface Renewer
Surface Renewer is a nourishing emulsion specifically developed to restore and protect weathered or dull surfaces. The product restores the original appearance, increases UV resistance and provides a long-lasting protective layer against new contamination.
Application
Preventive
Apply Surface Renewer evenly and thoroughly to the surface using a soft, clean and dry sponge.
Leave to soak in for a few minutes.
Rub lightly with a clean, soft microfibre cloth.
Curative: Extremely dirty, weathered surfaces must first be thoroughly cleaned and dried before treatment with Surface Renewer.
Prevent permanent damage
To prevent weathering, it is important to carry out a thorough cleaning twice a year in addition to regular cleaning.
